Travel time eats into the value of a short retreat. Carlingford sits roughly an hour from both Dublin and Belfast, so people arriving from either direction are not losing half a day on the road. For larger groups we can also arrange transport, which removes the car-park-and-coordinate problem entirely.

Balance the work with genuine downtime

A good agenda alternates focus with release. Pair your strategy sessions with something active — team-building games, a high-ropes challenge or clay pigeon shooting — and leave room to switch off, whether that is a sauna and sea dip, a whiskey tasting, or simply dinner together at one long table. People come back to the work sharper for having properly stepped away from it.
