Our homes near Carlingford and Omeath offer exclusive use of the entire property, sleeping from 20 to 32 guests, so grandparents, parents, cousins and children all share the same space rather than scattering across hotel rooms. Tranquility House even has ground-floor bedrooms for anyone who would rather avoid stairs, so every generation is comfortable.

A base for reconnecting with each other, and with Ireland

For families with Irish roots, coming back is about more than a holiday. Set between the Cooley Mountains and the shores of Carlingford Lough, close to the medieval village of Carlingford, our homes make a beautiful base for exploring the area, tracing your heritage and simply spending time together. And with easy access to both Dublin and Belfast airports, it is a straightforward place for family flying in from overseas to reach.

We take care of the details

Coordinating a large family gathering is a lot for one person to carry. Our in-house team helps take it off your plate: private chefs and catering so no one is stuck cooking for twenty, transport and airport transfers arranged on request, a warm personal welcome on arrival, and help planning activities. You get to be a guest at your own reunion.

Something for every generation

The best reunions balance togetherness with things to do. Around Carlingford there is something for everyone gentle walks along the Carlingford Lough Greenway, boat trips and water activities, a brewery or whiskey tasting for the adults, and plenty of space for children to play. Back at the house, a hot tub, a games room and long dinners around one table are often where the best memories are made.

We have five distinctive homes to suit different family sizes. Nucella Lodge, our largest, sleeps up to 32 across the lodge and coach house ideal for a big multi-generational gathering while our other homes offer the same exclusive-use comfort for slightly smaller groups. Several have hot tubs, and all enjoy the peace and the views of the Cooley Peninsula.
